Completada la séptima ronda del Continetal Class Championship 2010que se esta celebrando en el Hotel Hyaatt Regency - Crystal City en la ciudad de Arlington, Virginia.  El Torneo lo gano el GM Giorgi Kacheishvili (2568) con su victoria sobre GM Alexander Shabalov (2589) mientras que GM Alonso Zapata (2488) termino con seis puntos (6) de nueve (9) empatado en el quinto puesto con un grupo de 7 jugadores

Grandmaster Giorgi Kacheishvili takes clear first place

The Continental Class Championships 2010 were played at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia, from October 7-11, 2010. This new event had a projected $100,000 prize fund ($60,000 minimum guaranteed).

Grandmaster Giorgi Kacheishvili won the Continental Class Championships 2010 Master Section, finishing with 7.0/9, thanks to a grueling winner-takes-all last round victory over Grandmaster Alex Shabalov.

Master: Open to all with FIDE or USCF ratings of 2000 or over. Prizes - $10000 - 5000 - 2500 - 1300 - 1000 - 700 - 600 - 500 - 400 - 400, clear first bonus $200, FIDE Under 2400/Unr $3000-1500-700. If tie for first, top 2 on tiebreak play speed game for title & bonus. FIDE rated, GM and IM norms possible. Full regulations.
