Por otro lado el GM Alonso Zapata vuelve a perder con el que se ha convertido en su nemesis el GM Varuzhan Akobian. Mientras que Raúl Vazquez tiene 2 1/2 tras entablar en la segunda ronda con el GM Anatoly Y Lein y ganar en la tercera ronda.
